Have you done this mod? It's odd that the OEM kit comes with a template when the stock M5's already have the holes. Is eBay the better choice as in easier to do? Also do all the eBay kits (CF ones) come with the plastic inserts that go in the hole?

I was about to do this mod, but changed my mind. I bought the one on eBay and it was claimed as OEM, but it was not. No BMW logo or part number on it. But BMW OEM grill, it does have BMW logo in the back, and the edge is very thin and sharp.

Looking at the grill in the sick.bmp file, I can tell that it's not OEM and part is from eBay. I bought both OEM and eBay version and found that OEM has only 1mm edge while eBay version has a rounded edge to accomodate the cut edge.
