I have a 2005 530i and I was wondering if it were possible to put the actual M5 front bumper on my car instead of the M-tech front bumper. Will I still be able to install fog lights? Also, are the M5 and M-tech side strakes the SAME exact style? Is it also possible to mount the M5 fender gills on my car? Would this require installing an entirely new set of M5 front fenders? Do you guys know where I can get these parts because here in the U.S. the M5 is not even out yet. Also, will the M5 style 166 rims fit on my car or will I have to modify the fitting to get them installed?

I agree with you that the true M5 bumper looks more aggressive, but I don't know if it will fit or not. My feeling is, that you'll have a hard time ordering a true M5 bumper. M5 parts are rumored to be under tight control by BMW.

The true M5 bumper has brake cooling ducts where the M-tech kit has foglamps. I don't think you can mount foglamps there.... unless you customize it somehow.

As for fender grills, I would think you need to cut holes for them.

The M5 wheels won't fit, to my knowledge. If they do fit, you have to buy all front or back or something.... you can't get the staggered setup.

If you can order the parts, then it can be done. You'll need to order the M5 fenders though as the M5 is wider than a normal e60. Not sure, but if you have the M5 fenders, the M5 wheels may be able to fit.

If you just want the gills though, it can be done with your current fenders. Just take it to a good body shop.
