Hi All,

A question to anyone who has ordered the M-Technik front and rear bumpers with PDC sensors: Did your order come with the necessary sensors that fit the front and rear m-technik bumpers?

My installer just tried installing the bumpers and my stock '08 sensors do not fit the m-technik bumper. The stock sensors are shorter and I've confirmed with a local BMW dealer that new sensors are needed for the m-technik bumper.

Any information you can provide would be greatly appreciated.

THanks in advance!

I think BMW makes an update M-tech package for the 08 LCI. You probably order the older version of the m-tech. I might buy your front end if that's the case and you cannot return it.

I checked this as well with the dealer and they confirmed that stock bumpers and m-tech bumpers have different PDC sensors regardless of year. I did order a '04-'07 m-tech kit to avoid the amber stripe that the '08 bumpers come with, but unfortunately, simply ordering '08 m-tech bumpers now won't solve the PDC sensor length issue.

Has anyone run into this same issue, and if so, is there a workaround that would enable me to re-use my stock PDC sensors with m-tech bumpers?
