Okay so I should be recieving my M-Technic kit anyday and I keep hearing from some members there is a gap that is created between the hood and the top of the bumper when the new front bumper is put on. Ive seen in the DIY section that there were different ways to eliminate the gap one in particular i liked was it was caused by the front bumper foam.

So can anyone confirm for me that it is the front bumper foam that is causing the gap and if I buy the new pieces I shouldnt have a gap??? I dont want to wast $50 on new pieces if thats not whats causing the problem.

Let me know thanks
If you change out just the foam, you will still have the gap. I bought the new foam pieces and still have the gap, my next step will be the teflon washers. If i had to do it all over again, i would just trim the foam and save the $50 bucks. It should only take you a few minutes to do. Hope that helps, Paul

Paul.....

Thanks for saving your fellow member the 50 bones, thats exactly what I wanted to hear, Ill just go with Georgio's technic an use felt washers and cut the bumper foam to save the gap. Kind of a shame that the parts are made from BMW for that specific car and they dont design it right. Anyhow to the best of my knowledge my kit is in the booth today and I should have it by Monday Thanks Tony!
