I voted Jet Black, the same as the rest of the car.
I have not seen any cars in real life with Gloss and Matt combined on the body work, so its difficult for me to comment whether there would much contrast.
As for the Matt Grey, you will effetively end up with the same look as you get on the E90 M-Sport pack. IMHO it does not look as good as it does with the whole bumper painted, but that could just be due to the plastic finish BMW used on rear diffuser. This should however give you a feel for the kind of contrast you could achieve with a dark grey diffuser on a black bumper.
This E90 is Saphire Black with OEM M-Sport pack (including diffuser) and is on OEM 19" Performance 269 rims.
Otherwise Pinca's suggestion of CF makes sense, especially if you did the grills and bottom half of the M5 mirrors in CF as well.

only other option is maybe c/f but you dont have c/f accents on your car.. so why bother with that one piece...? i think the matte with nothing else is going to look like one of those plastic bumpers on the back of a honda pilot or something.. dont do it Howi! your car is so sexy in black as it is.. your gonna fuck with it cause your bored and all but your options are limited..
just saying( dont know what im thinking about this so much )

It will be noticeable enough. There will be a contrast between the matte black of the diffuser and the jet black of the bumper. I don't think matte grey will work, since there's nothing else grey anywhere on your car it will looks out of place.
Another option would be to just get it CF wrapped

+1 jet black
matte black will just look unfinished unless you have a matte black theme going i.e. matte black grill, trim, wheels, splitters.
matte gray

It's tough to have mods that stand out from the crowd, especially when you guys are on the forums as much as I am, everything seems very "been there, done that". I'd personally would love to see a different (dark colored) colored diffuser but my traditional side would have to choose Jet Black.

How about we all vote to paint it highlighter green? He said he'll do whatever he gets most votes out of. Personally, I'd love to see that .
I have Jet Black painted diffuser to match my car and really want to change it up. Seems too boring but it does look clean. I'd say Matte black, then CF, then Jet Black.
