Luckily mine came with the LCI sports steering with paddle's, I use them more than I initially would think. The paddles make the auto gearbox the best of both worlds!

I hit a snag with my installation. Turns out I ended up getting the wrong harness from motivmods, one for m5 SMG paddles and not for the push/pull paddles I have. Thankfully, motivmods had me send them a picture before I installed the wheel on the car and caught the error early. Sent back the kit today and installed the wheel with the harness from my old wheel.
Here is something I don't quite get, when I was buying the parts this projects motivemod's website said that on cars made before 09/05 it would not be possible to keep the wheel heater function. As my car was built 01/06 and has cold weather pack, I hunted down a heated wheel with paddles. Apparently, this is no longer possible to keep the wheel heat with the paddle retrofit. The slip ring and wheel harness that I got from Motivmods uses heater pins for the paddles, but does not use 2 free pins on the main connector. The wheel harness that came with my new wheel uses these two open pins for paddle signals.
Anyone have any thoughts on this?

I asked them about keeping the heated function too and they said not possible, but if I would be willing to do a little bit of testing for them they would accommodate it and try to help. I have given up on this since I will be leaving Washington state next spring and moving to Georgia and will no longer need it. Also somebody on this board did this mod WITH headed function but he changed the cable a little but. I'll look around and try to find the topic for you.

This is what I was talking about. Its an old topic and I don't think its really documented but you can try a PM or two for the members talking about it.
