I ordered the silver look like yours. The black looks really good, but I think it would get lost among the black carpet and not look too much different than the stock rubber ones at a distance...

Look great.
I am considering the same. I have a 6sp MT 535xi and wear wooden soled dress shoes everyday for work. Are these pedals slippery? What if your shoes are wet?

The pedals have raised rubber trim all over them, and are used by BMW OEM, so doubt they would be real slippery.
I have slick-soled (leather) dress shoes too, and sometimes there are no pedals that will provide enough grip! Which is why I wear something more practical and much more comfortable most days.
OT - I would love to see pics/details of these wood-soled shoes, my guess is they're actually just leather painted to look like wood ( unless they're clogs). Remember that wood doesn't bend ... so if you can actually bend the sole of the shoe, which is usually required for things like walking, they're probably not wood.
Now, wooden HEELS OTOH are not uncommon.

wet might be tricky on a shoe with a sole like that..
however the raised grips on the pedals re large.. sometimes when i go to downshift and revmatch my shoes sole gets stuck in the grooves of the rubber grips on the pedals.
im still trying to get used to them. when they are wet, they arent slippery either.
