To M Kit or Not M Kit?

My Ride: 2005 545i SMG, Sapphire Black/Tan, Sport Package, Cold Weather Package, NAV, Comfort Seats, Satellite Radio, Premium Sound, Sunshades
All, I need your assistance. I had a minor fender bender which requires a new front bumper. The difference is about $1400 between just getting the front bumper replaced and getting the Aero kit. I am torn as to whether to just get it repaired or to get the Aero kit. What would you do? Would you take the opportunity to get it? I am paying out of my pocket and not through insurance. Thanks in advance for your replies!

Well if I were in your shoes and not going through insurance, then I'd probably get the M kit.
Actually since the M kit only comes as a whole set and you only need the front bumper, I would get a front bumper from an aftermarket company, such as Hamann or Racing Dynamics.

I'd do it in a heart beat. Forum member Cader was in a similar situation and got the M Kit and he's very happy about it.

I had the same thoughts...it was easy in my case where, the person that hit me wanted to settle without insurance involved which, covered almost half the total cost for the full Mkit painted and installed.
I'm not sure I would have pulled the trigger otherwise. I always liked the stock look itself. However, now the Mkit is on...I have to say it looks amazing, like a new car. I've noticed heads turning, more than before.
If you can manage to get the front Mkit bumper a la carte that might be a good option as well...
