My Ride: 2008 550i M-sport carbon black metallic
That's a great ride! My '08 carbon black 550i has almost 100k miles on it now and still drives like it did when I bought it. If you want to make a subtle but noticeable difference to the appearance, add some spacers to the wheels. I added 18mm in the back and 5mm in the front, which improves the stance significantly IMO. And it will cost less than your floor mats!
Enjoy the car.

What up fellow desert dweller. I just bought the same exact car with a warranty transferred. Got a brand new transmition from chapman bmw (2yr unlimited miles $10k). Set for the next 50k mi at least.
One option that was kind of hard to find is fold down rear seats, both my bmws dont have it, had to compromise. Comfort access, L7 were a non negotiable.
First thing i did was gloss black the grill, and order black side markers. Side markers show age right away, and the gill looks so nice with the all black. check out my ebay angel eye upgrade review.
Thinking of powder coating the stock wheels, on the hunt for spacers as well.

Blake, I also agree with keeping the M5 off the car, but in the end it's your car and you can do with it what you want. From my side, I've added M mods and such because I like it. I personally would not add the M5 to my car because I would not want to be embarrassed when someone says to me, nice car, what year is your M5? Then I would have to say, ah, it's not an M5, I just put this on there... AS to what they think, well, we don't actually know that unless we are mind readers...

Nice car and price, man! The 550 is a fantastic ride and like everyone else has stated, as long as you don't put an M5 badge on it, your accents should be fine (well, maybe not the licence plate holder). Besides, BMW added all of the ///M badges in the 2010 model year anyway, so no one will know the difference. I did the stripes in the grille and thought they were awesome. I removed them later as I wanted the grille purely black. Post pics of your mods when you are complete!

I love my 2007 550i, but I was dying for an M5. The price in here was $135,000. I paid $92,000 for my 550i. I was looking for a pre-owned M5 but are not that easy to find. No one wants to sell them lol

I really like those M-Parallel's on your car.

You can do any mod, but don't install the "M5" badge. I hate when I see an M3, M5 or even AMG in models which are not ///M or AMG. My 550i has M-tech kit and M5 wheels but will proudly continue with my OEM "550i" emblem.

My Ride: 09 550i 6sp M-Tech. 18mm spacers rear, 8mm front. Dinan intake and Stage 2 tune. Tinted tails, M5 OEM lip spoiler.
08 Z4 3.0si Black on Black with Beige top. Removable hardtop. (Hers)
06 Volvo S60R Heavily Modded!! Gone and missed.
I agree. I recently got in a front end collision and decided to put the M5 fenders on but no M5 badging. I have the Dinan upgrades so some kind of 3D Dinan sticker on the fender grill would be cool but I'm afraid I'd have to fab that myself. Currently I have a carbon //M sticker on there.
