Hi guys,
I bought my 08 535i last week and have been shopping around for the angel eye upgrade. The yellow rings don't really do it for me. The pics of the H8 Lux Angel Eyes look fantastic. Any 5 series owners that have these installed have an opinion? Should I go with the LUX or another brand? Thanks guys.

There is just two options: lux and xenon. LUX are more cleaner. Xenon wash out the rings. But of all the LEDS LUX is the best.

I think you mean HID, not xenon

Mostly good info, but a bit dated. Modern HID and xenon system reach full output in seconds not minute(s).

BTT: I'm happy with my LUX LED ae's...not as bright as HID/Xenon , but a good upgrade over stock halogen bulbs

Wow guys, thanks. Very informative. One last question: Are there any error messages involved with the LUX that will show up while installed or any that will risk voiding my CPO warranty after install/removal? This is very important to me. Thanks again. Ya'll rock.

I'm happy w/ my LUX H8 V3's and especially love how the AE's are white and bright even when the headlights are on. Installing them won't affect your CPO warranty unless something happens to the lighting circuit. If that happens they can refuse to do electrical warranty repairs, but of course, you can always swap the original bulbs back in -- takes about 5 minutes.

BTW, only the latest model of the V3's will work in an E60 (the grey ones). Older models are too long so don't buy used ones. Also, the LUX H8's are tight -- it's very hard to twist them by hand -- much harder than standard H8 bulbs. I ended up using small pliers to gently twist them the required 45-degrees.
