lowering suspension
#1
Excuse my ignorance guys, but when i put lowered suspension on my e39 i had to get the camber adjusted. Now if i put adjustable height suspension on and you have it at say a height and then change it. Does each change not alter the camber?
And finally have been reading lots of good stuff on all the types that you have all used. I can get kw var 2 in the uk, i feel they are a bit too fancy for what i am looking for and i cannot find the h&rs in the uk for the e60. The bilsteins seem too firm. So maybe all thats left are the konis with eibach springs.
One final word on the kws and i know everyone is not the same but if i do go for kws and am looking for a comfy setting with good roadholding what setting would that be?
If anyone has bought h&rs in the uk for the e60 let me know where.
thanks

XS performance near London is agent for H&R, also, but their website is pants. Call could be well worth it, as their prices are supposed to be decent.
And these guys ship to UK

Ollie if you come back on mate or anyone else. Read a few posts with guys who have fitted h&rs and found them stiff. I am fitting them to improve the ride quality and not for the looks of lowering the car. Has anyone fitted the h&rs with the minimum damping setting?
I also intend to drop the car by only 25mm which is the minimum.
My mechanic who did my last bilstein sprintlines on my e39 which dropped it by about 35mm. Advised me at the time it would be too firm and he was correct i felt it was too firm. He is now advising me to get a set of bilstein sport shocks and normal height springs and leave the car at its height. Does anyone have any views on this, do you think it would improve handling?
My car has sports suspension, does anyone know if it is slightly lower already?

The H&R coilovers don't have adjustable dampening, so probably not what you are looking for.
The sport package (at least in the US) is about 0.5 inch lower than the standard suspension.
Take a look at the Koni FSD dampers -- they may be just what you are looking for. You can use them with the stock springs or Eibach Pro-kit (1.2 inch lower than the non-sport suspension).

SP-equipped vehicles are dropped .7" more than the standard. I agree that the Koni FSDs would be a great fit.
We know that SE with a sport option is 0.7" lower. But how much is the M Sport compared to SE?
Thanks,

Thanks guys, think im just gonna keep the sport springs and try bilstein b6 sports shocks and give it a go.
Are you sport suspension or non sport? If you are non-sport, go for HR sway bars. That will help stiffen up your car a bit on the turns. Night day difference.
