Lowering sport spring for e60
#1
I understand that many e60 fans have used the H&R sport spring. I try to decide which spring is better - eibach pro kit or H&R sport spring. H&R could lower a little bit more but the shopkeeper says that the eibach is more comfortable less bumpy. eibach is around US$ 50 more expensive than H&R. However, 50 is not a big issue.
Please comment which one is better??????? :'(

I have the Eibach Pro Kit and installed them on my 530i w/ Sport Package. For me, it definitely lowers the car enough. I can place one finger on the rear tire between the fender and none on the front. Just right and the ride is very close to stock. From what I've read and heard, the H&R springs are lower and results in a slightly rougher ride than the Eibachs. Spend the extra $50 and be happy. Just remember to do an alignment after you install the springs.

[/quote]I have two friends who have switched from H&R to Eibach after riding in mine. Granted, I never rode in their cars to confirm but there must be an obvious difference if they spent the time and money to switch springs. One has an 2005 E60 545i and the other has an 05 Audi A6.

No need to argue which one is cheaper. Any other opinion of these two different brand of spring. I am still in between. I have tried the h&r spring with my Audi A6 recently. I didn't find that it has a rough drive and i am comfortabe with their ride. Long time ago, I have tried Eibach spring in my old model E320 and I found that it is too soft. The ride is just like sitting in a boat?! So I am still in between. I may but H&R due to its lowering rate is higher than the Eibach. Let's see.
thanks
