Took Delivery 10/26/2009: LOADED! E60 M5 Silverstone II/Black, Active Seats, Comfort Ventilated/Heated Seats, HUD, Brushed Aluminum Trim,
When lowering the M5 with EDC and active steering, does it call for any special steps before the install? ie. Deactivate the EDC and Active steering etc...
Or is it a straight forward install?
I've heard stories in the past when members lower their E60's, that they end up having issues with the headlight not leveling out correctly.
Any heads up advice is much appreciated.

I have auto leveling with xenon adaptives and no problems at all after lowering the car A LOT from stock height. You will have no issues either. My friend had a 2009 M5 with the same setup and he lowered the car without issue.

My Ride: 04 525i sport, premium, winter, xenon. xm satellite radio, navwithtv dvd system, 1 jl 10w7 sub powered by xtant 1001x amp. 20x8.5/10 on nitto nt555 rubber. acs roof and decklid spoiler, breyton front spoiler.
Mine is on RDSport springs. No issues at all. Very straight forward

Cool! I thought there was a leveling sensor that needed to be either put back a certain way or adjusted after the install? No..?

u need to disconnect ur battery, remove your front seats and rear seats, drop the engine and remove transmission. U also have to remove the euro stickers. After u install the springs, put the rear wheels in the front and the front to the rear. Move the taillights to the headlights and headlights to the taillights. Now put the transmission and engine back and reapply ur euro stickers. Jump start the car and leave battery disconnected.
