dependa how much u wanna spend. springs are cheaper but u still need to take apart ur front strut and get the spring installed. or u cant pay more up front get a coilover setup which would also give u new shocks and then install everything at once together. simple bolt on. an u can adjust how low u want to go. i used ksports and so far 15k miles knock on wood no issues and rides nice

Go with coilovers. Will cost more upfront but will end up being a better investment long term. Benefits include lowering for summer and raising for winter. Being able to stance your car the way you want. Springs will only last 20,000-30,000 or so before having to be replaced. Get coilovers no question.

Can you elaborate a little bit on this?

I got H&R coilovers from a local racing car shop. $1200. Look around here on the private classified section. I've seen nice coilovers barely used for a huge discount compared to new.

Contact member Acuteperformance, I got my KSport coilovers (as did several members here) from him. They work great, I have had them on for over a year now. They are priced VERY well, I have always been leery of buying used suspension or brake components

When you install lowering springs on stock shocks the struts will wear out usually around 20,000 mies. Sometimes you might not even know but your suspension could be shot at that point on one or more wheels. If your going to lower do it the right way the first time around with coilovers.

I agree on buying new suspension. But if his budget is tight it's an option. Not saying to use Craigslist but I'd trust this forum a little more.

Still, H&R's are reasonable at $1200, KSports are even more reasonable @ ~$900 - making them about the same price as new shocks and springs
