On a different note, I just saw the link about JDN. I'm speechless....
Quite a bummer -- did you see the thread that was created when we all learned about it?

Have anyone tried the JDM tint spray? This is a cheaper DIY alternative. Any comments ??

I'll give a shout out to Jon DeSalvatore. After much hassle and angry phone calls to FedEx (which, BTW, I hope BURNS IN HELL), I got my tails tinted. Actually bought a set of OEM's from him that he tinted. My LED's burned in a fire en route....long story. Anyway, my car is the last one in the gallery. Gloomy day, car is dirty. Lights look a bit darker than they are in person. Send him your lights and he'll tint them to any degree you want and will send them back.

I got the red part smoked and left the white part as is. Wasn't cheap, but I think they did a good job. They baked them instead of spraying them. Seems this way is the best quality.

BTW- mine is light tint, I didn't want to go too dark.

i have the tint overlay on the red portion of the tail lights. it's been about 4 months and so far no bubbling or peeling. www.lamin-x.com the material used for this overlay is similar to clear bra, very durable. i purchased 2 12x24 rolls that will cover both of the taillights if you are planning to purchase them.

So this product covers the entire rear light cluster, right?

It says it covers all 4 taillights, which makes me think it means the red is one light and the clear is another, thus making it 4. Regardless, I'll let this thread know, once I get it. I'll, of course, post pix too.

Hi r9ndy, how did you manage to apply the overlay over the "bump" on the taillight? Can you provide more details, perhaps a pic would really help. Beside, what % is the tint as I did not see any option for the pre-cut kits? Thanks!
