I need a reliable vendor for vinyl wraps and clear bumper covers. Would help tremendously if they are local in Brooklyn, but can work with shipping. I know rvinyl.com is a good place to look, but I think they are quite pricey.
Any and all help is appreciated

Try eBay or Amazon, but be careful they doesn't send you their old shit that is peeling off. I had to return mine once but all is good now!

Thanks! I haven't thought of those options
I am still looking for a more permanent solution though. I will be wrapping my E60 and maybe doing a few other projects, so I really need a supplier for the vinyl rolls.
PS so far I've found HEXIS and 3M, basically. Is Hexis a good product to use?

Got your PM (life is in shambles w/ this current move).
Only consider 3M 1080 Scotchprint or Oracal 970ra. I did a lot of research, watched videos, visited other forums, talked to seasoned installers and worked with both...they are your best two options for quality & longevity (tho a buy more pricey). Don't skimp on material...garbage in...garbage out as we say in the marketing/graphic design industry.
Good luck with it man. I'll be avail in like a week if you want to chat more in depth about it or techniques...

What color are you planning to do ?
The 3m scotchprint seems to be the best material to use for your project, easy installation and very good quality of vinyl !
I've been looking on this website, they offer the 3m vinyl at good price and very good service, they responded very quickly to my questions !
www.autovinylsolutions.com
There are active on ebay and amazone too !
P.S : 60ft x 5ft (300 sq ft), is the size needed for our car bro !
Good luck !

Thanks to you I didn't end up buying crappy product!
I'll do a little more research, but definitely do NOT want to use any second-rate materials.
On that site, www.autovinylsolutions.com, I found what they termed "Full Wrap Kit" - is that a better option than getting the roll?

hmmmmm..good question, I don't know what is the difference between them, I asked them about the wrap size and the tools..
I think it's the same thing, the difference is that they provide a standar roll size for sedan.. getting the roll would be a better option cause it leaves you some vinyl if you do some mistakes during the process..
let me send them an email about this, plus I'm interested to know if I need to repair the "stone chips" that I have on my car before wrapping, or is not necessary !
I see that some people getting more interested in wrapping their cars, would be great if we find a good vendor selling quality product and do a group buy !!!
maybe shoud I start a thread about this...lol

I am also interested in knowing whether stone chips on my front bumper and lip need to be repaired before wrapping. I wonder if wrapping matte white would show small defects in the body more then regular clear coated paint...

A company I saw at SEMA was:
http://www.alsacorp.com/
They sell flexible vinyl that can bend around fenders, etc. Looks great! I know they are having a special on their chrome vinyl wrap. $6.99 a ft instead of $15.00.

Thanks guys! I'm certain all wrap vinyl is flexible btw
I haven't checked out all the vendors yet, but I've found out what I need to know - best is 3M 1080 Scotchprint. That will be the vinyl I will be ordering. I will also start offering wrap services in the NYC and the Tri State area, so stay tuned - I'll put up a thread announcing our grand opening as soon as everything is ready
This does not mean I'm closed to suggestions - by all means, please continue pouring in the knowledge and opinions, I'm very grateful for each and every one of your comments!
