thanks West! i thought it would be neat to see what some of our Engine Bays look like. I am hoping people will post pics even of stock Engine bays with E60 the year and the type so i can see the differnces.

But West, since u like the idea... go ahead and throw up a pic. i bet u have the coolest of all the E60 Engine bays!

That's part of his Dinan dual inlet intake. I think that part draws air in from the passenger side. I'd kill to have that intake...

JIM's right, if you ever get the bumper off a 550i like mine, there a "pop out" that's a mirror image of the air inlet that pulls air for the stock air box from the driver side just in front of the radiator. For the dinan intake, part of the install has you "pop out" the hole plug on the passenger side. The kit comes with a bunch of new piping that routes air from the passenger side, up the side of the radiator, and across to their new box that has 2 air inlets, one for the new air supply you just piped over from the pssgr side and one from the stock setup. In fact, popping that hole plug out is the only real "work" as far as modifying the car goes. The oil cooling lines on the driver side have to be bent out of the way but not much, the tubing is pretty stout and i only used my bare hands to do it. Other than that the whole set up looks absolutely wonderful. Its plainly evident that a lot of design thought went into the developement of the kit. The carbon fiber cross tube was a very nice touch.

That's awesome marine. When I was putting on my new grille I saw the pop out ur talking about. I wonder if there would be any benefit to popping it open to get more air into the engine bay? I have both air scoops so one is totally non fictional obviously an ones just for looks.
