A week or so ago my e60 starting squaking at me that the brake fluid change was due (in warranty). Then I got the error message "left parking lamp malfunction". I wasn't sure which one was considered the 'parking lamp' so I did some testing and every bulb was lit, even the halogen flashers (car has bi-xenon). After checking the 7 series forum over at b-fest, I figured out the halo rings are considered the parking lamps. I took a second look at them and noticed the driverside bulb was noticeably dimmer than the passenger side. I swapped out the angel ibright bulb for my OEM and the error message went away when I sat back in the driver seat.
Anyone else get a similar message (oem bulb or aftermarket)? I'm thinking that if this is a dying AIB bulb, its time to start looking for a better aftermarket solution for brighter rings. The AIB bulb still lights, but for some reason the idrive is saying it is out.

It took me forever to figure it out too.

I had the same problem with AIB's and gave me the error message. They were still in warranty and they exchanged it for me.

I don't recall, how long is the warranty and did you email or PM customangeleyes?
Email them and see what they can do, or give them a call.
