My Ride: 2007 525xi
I have a 2007 pre-lci 525xi. Halogen headlights. (See pic below)
I'm pretty much set on buying Bruce's cables and searching around for a set of OEM LCI tail lights.
But the more I see them.. I get tempted to upgrade to the LCI headlights as well. However, from what I've been reading, I'm not sure how big of an endeavor that'll be. I have the standard halogen headlights.. no HID/Xenon stuff.
I've seen various retrofit threads and DIY's, but they're all for Pre-LCI Xenon -> LCI Xenon, etc etc.
I'm also wondering how much I'd expect to be paying for all the necessary items required as well. I can take care of coding/etc once my cable comes in, that's not too big of an issue. But I suspect there'll be a considerable amount of extra wiring required going from what I have to what I want...
Anyone wanna give me any suggestions/pointers? Anyone done this type of conversion before?

Also contact nomis_(Simon) he is the conversion expert in lci tails and headlights, I had the same headlights as yours and at this very moment
He is working on my lci headlights and being converted and also being retrofitted...
He can also let you know what parts you will be needing for the conversion
Good luck!!!

Hey Ricapar. The conversion is a whole lot easier on pre-LCI halogen to LCI halogen. In fact, it's the only instance where you can upgrade the headlights and not do the taillights as the retrofit does not require coding. Essentially, you will need the parts to assemble a conversion harness, which if you can read diagrams, and a little solder work, it shouldn't be too difficult to do.
Also, there's a thread about this on the board. A pretty good read (18 pages was it) if you are really thinking to do this.
