I recently installed the OEM tailight for my pre-lci with Hella V2 cables.
LCI Tailight question-_d2b0038.jpg
If you look at the picture, you see that the two bulbs behind the rods are lit up. Is this normal?
I did not apply the brakes taking this picture.
And looking at other LCI tailights, it seems the rods are brighter than mine?

Thanks

Let us know also if you installed the LCI taillights using which conversion cable? For example if using Bruce cable which version or which version of Hella cable or the OEM conversion kit from the factory including front headlights & LCM or some other home made cable.

No, they should not be on unless you are on the brakes.

With a US pre-LCI LCM and Bruce's V6 cables, the rods are lit (perhaps brighter?) and the middle and outer bulbs are not lit. This picture shows park on, brake off, turn on, and reverse off. The inner bulb is lit, but it is not apparent in this picture.

BTW I hate telling people this THOSE ARE NOT HELLA CABLES. Do you really think that Hella will sell you cables that don't have a plug on one end and expect you to work your way through a plug. That way of connection is extremely dangerous. Also the so called HELLA cables don't give you the true LCI look, all they do is avoid the idrive errors. My V1 cable did that!

I was wondering why there were individual loose connectors on a "Hella" cable:

Those don't look like OEM LCI tails, they look like the replicas. I may be wrong though, anyone wanna chime in?
