LCI tail rods, always on?

My Ride: BMW E60
Model Year: 2016
So I am just wondering if it's possible to have the lci tails I put in with Bruce's cable to be always on so the rods on always showing.
I believe I have seen some cars around that seem to have this on, even though their lights are off. Possible to do this for us that retro-fitted?

Actually, that doesn't turn it on. Only when the headlights are on does it turn on. (Or maybe it does but at tremendously lowered power that it's not visible during day)

I agree that there should not be any difference in brightness of the "rods" between the parking light and headlight setting.
I do think (without double-checking right now) that on an actual LCI car, the rods are illuminated at a lower brightness when the DRLs are on...
