Hi all,

I'd like to share this with all of you.... Went to a local bmw dealer (parts dept) this morning and ask for the possibilities of retrofit lci head light and tail light. According to the mechanic, the dimensions of the trunk and rear bumper for both of the vehicle are different, which means they will not fit. But the front end of the vehicle including hood are exactly the same, so retrofit for the headlight are very possible but taillight will not fit. Anybody hear anything different?

Of course they will. The rear LCI tail lights are an exact match, several people here have them, including me.

its not about the dimension of trunk and rear bumper...its the dimension of the light itself... LCI or non LCI is the same... dealer as usual...are idiots

even if facelifted E60 has rear lights on its roof but the lights have identical dimension of pre FL...i dont see why it wont fit... get the idea? LOL

New headlights and tail lights fit just fine. No shape or size difference. Its the wiring that is a problem.

both the headlights and taillights fit perfectly. however, it needs cable + programming update to get it to work properly.
I keep hearing of a retrofit kit coming soon...maybe in couple months or by end of this year?

Retrofit kit should be delivered after summer holyday, i. e. end August beginning of September. At least this is what they told me by BMW main dealer in Munich.
