Thanks! Mind if I help with your install? We could do it at my place too, if you'd like. I'm mechanically-challenged...
If you get your kit before SLO, maybe someone can help you out at the meet

It really is a lapse in design on the part of BMW that the AEs do not match the headlights. The different hue of the AEs (and fogs) and the headlights does not look good. Maybe they will fix that in the F10.

HID angels do not project the lights forward. It does look very bright if you view it from within 20-30 feet. the lights are scattered--a plus for safety since it light up the sides of the road more.

temp 8,000k--the angel eye reflector tend to make the HID appear whiter. it's a very nice clean crisp white color. can get the whole kit from the other board or just get the circuit. The "HID harness" is the wirings with relay and connections. the circuit triggers the relay. you can run a wire from one of the aux wire around the ECU to trigger the relay instead of having to buy circuit. the disadvantage of ecu tap is not having the angel eyes turn on when unlocking the car. A bit involved--maybe somebody can run a wire through the firewall and tap one of the wire near the light module that lights up the rear rods led taillight. This will allow the HIDs to turn on as courtesy light when unlocking etc.
HID bulb or ballasts need a constant voltage to turn on or turn off (no in betweens).
Halogen bulb voltage booster sounds like the same or similar circuit to the HIDs one.

6K? details on the kit? is it an ecu tap or + + battery pole tap? AE's stay bright/no dimming with xenons on?
I have a kit on order as well, not an HID kit, just a halogen bulb voltage booster kit
