Hey folks,
I am about to pull the long awaited trigger on Bilstein PSS10 coilovers for my E60 LCI. I thought long and hard about tinkering with this good OEM sport suspension, especially b/c I have 3 younglings and a nagging wife. After having ridden in a couple of aftermarket coilovers, KW V2, V3, and FK. I am confident quality aftermarket dampers are superior to stock?s.
I have not ridden in an E60 with PSS10 yet as this setup is far and few for E60 compared to popular KWs. KW v2 btw is a close second option. There are pros and cons for both. Build quality and easy compression/rebound adjustability, PSS10 wins it, as well as monotube lightweight design and their warranty support structure is better represented in the USA. I?ve heard KWs are more geared towards tracking and PSSx are more suitable for street use. Don?t plan to track b/c frankly scared of the inner demons. My driving is 90% city so a reputable, reliable, comparatively comfortable 1 inch drop all around will be sufficed.
Anyone has first hand/second hand experience with Bilstein coilovers?
Penny for your thoughts but cost ya 2 cents when you give it.

Bilstein makes great products as does KW. KW does make street comfort coilovers that are geared for daily drivers and non-trackers. BTW, that link doesn't work.

My Ride: 04 525i sport, premium, winter, xenon. xm satellite radio, navwithtv dvd system, 1 jl 10w7 sub powered by xtant 1001x amp. 20x8.5/10 on nitto nt555 rubber. acs roof and decklid spoiler, breyton front spoiler.
KW is the industry standard for the 5 series in that price range. I never heard a bad thing about them. There are better alternatives (cross and moton), but at that price point KW can't be beat. I drove an m5 with the V3's and the car feels like it's on rails and rides very nicely as well. Unfortunately I have no experience with billsteins and thats only because there just aren't many people running them.

Thank you, Michael for ALWAYS giving us sound advise! I am LOVING the PSS10's! It's a tad stiffer than KW's but these heavy duty monotubes are rock solid and is handling any terrain and then some.
I'm still playing with the ride height and damping adjusments to find the sweet spot. Right now it's sitting a tad lower than when pix were taken, car's dirty, wheels are dirty but cant wait to share.
Ya like?
