I think found them :b, there is a SMALL screw at the at the top of each coilover, I turned all the way clockwise with a very thin Allen key.
Did I do it wrong?

My Ride: 2009 E60 530i
I just adjusted my kw as well. The recommended setting (the setting that came with the coilover) was 9 each. I believe there are 18 rebound levels. Unlike you, I found the ride too stiff, so I made it softer. The front was easy because you can see the top of the shock. But the rear is a different story. I had a difficulty here because I couldn't see the top of the shock and I actually had to "feel" the clicks. And I had to be physically inside the trunk! Damn KW. The use of allen key to set the rebound is kinda retarded, especially for a coilover of this caliber.
BTW, for our rwd e60, you shouldn't set your rear axle at full stiff. It will cause your car to lose grip when you drive over uneven roads.
