From what I've read before it removes the lag, so car is just more responsive to your foot

The sprint booster makes the transmission downshift to a lower gear (lowest gear possible if you hit it) so since the V8 engine have more torque in the higher gears, the effects will be felt more with the 545i/550i.
The effects will still be dramatic though. Installed it on my friends 328i and it changed the car completely.

it only helps on initial push of yr heavy car, by tricking yr engine ECU (in another words slam yr accerelator hard)..
but some will attest but some will disagree to it, SP still proves popular enough for that 3 sec sprint.
There is also another product sold locally, that's call power pedal, works like SP but has a "tuning" box for drivers to set according to their style for that sprint. As some drivers will soon find out, that with SP, it's difficult to control pedal/speed when reversing yr car.

I ordered the SP last year and turned out the SP was defected. It took me another year to decide and ordered another one which I installed about 2 weeks ago.
All I can say is "I'M LOVING IT"......
Now I have to be careful and not step on the gas pedal too hard when take off or the DTC light will on....

Response time has improved to a comfortable level.
Not to jumpy.
The main difference is from 3000 rpm's and up.
Huge difference at this point!
Car feels much faster through all the gears.
Feels like there's more torque in sixth which i thought
was lacking before.
It defenitely makes the car much more fun to drive.
Can't wait to get off work and drive some more.
