255/30/20 is more likely to bend--ask the guy selling his 20inch lowenhart LSRs in the classifieds. 245/35 is safer

Yes I know, but the tire is too thin compared to the wheel, that is the only dislike. My toher concern is the wheel diameter grows by 1 inch making the car higher and the speedometor reading inacurate. I guess this subject has been talked left and right and sitll can not decide. Some pleople her are using the lower profile setup (poleposition one of them). another choic eoculd the 285-30-20 in the rears

At 26.75 it shouldnt throw it off that much. I had 27.8 before and that threw it off by 5mph I think and my DSC thingy was going nuts. 245/35 and 285/30 sounds safe, I wouldnt worry about the speedo too much

Your worst case scenario is off by 4.5% high (25.58 to 26.73 on the rears). BMW speedo is off by ~4% high, as if you already had an approximately 26.6 inch diameter tire. So you have closed the gap to make the speedo much MORE accurate. Hey, not bad. BMW recommends no more than 3% but it is for your protection to keep the speedo reading a little high. You are not being outlandish and I would try to keep more rubber between you and your rims than worry about the speedo.
