i brought it in at 730 a.m. told them i think the front brake sensors are rubbing on something.. and the sunroof when the shade was open was kinda loud.. (would you believe the s.a asked me if the noise was when the sunroof itself was open.. ) DUH.. i said no its when the shade is open.(doesnt he see im not blond anymore!) and the sunroof is closed..

anyways they call me round 2.. cars done.. i get it back after they told me that the brake sensors were rubbing on the rotors and they replaced the pads.. so they should be fine now.. and that the sunroof was misaligned and there was a tear in the rubber seal. so they fixed that as well.. as soon as i pull out of the stealership my brakes are squeaking REALLY loud.. louder then before. . my son goes "mom these are louder then the school bus" nice kid he is sometimes.. way to make a girl feel good about her car..

i reversed back to the guy that drove it up and he told me that maybe they need to "bed" in and give it less then a day .. it should go away.. has anyone had this before?? please tell me this annoying whine will stop after a few days or miles or whatever.. its loud.. and embarrassing on a new friggen car to match! its not all the time.. but most.. i only drove it home from the dealer.. thanks in advance all.. Mel

Doesn't sound normal to me? When I had my brake pads done I remember the brakes had stopped squealing the moment I drove the car out of the service center. I
would give it a day and take it back their if it doesn't stop by tomorrow.

Maybe this could be your problem:
"If somebody does a quick brake job and replaces the brake pads
but does not resurface the rotors, the result can be an even louder squeal" from link

Correct. Try a few "progressively hard" stops from 60mph. Not to ABS lockup and not to a complete stop but then speed up and hit the brakes again. Then drive around a bit to cool them off. That can help seat the pads into the rotors. If that doesn't help, take it back.

Very disappointing... you would think they would test the car before giving it back to you. If the brakes don't stop squeaking in a day or so I would bring it back, tell them I need a really nice loaner and don't call me until they are absolutely sure the car is fixed. My dealer has done something like that to me once with my car and they could tell I wasn't amused. Nobody's perfect but when the car exhibits the same problem you dropped it off for when you are in the lot... That?s a bit much.

Good luck

Mine never squeaked after I have the dealer do my brakes.

I've been through 3 sets of pads in 6 months? Not sure what's up with it.

+1 A little sound during bedding is normal. Brakes are new and there might be bits that need to be alighned or even burrs. It shouldn't last more than a day. GL. At least they fixed the sunroof, right?
