in light of so many people on this forum, wanting retro fits done and upgrading there E60's both in the States and UK, i think it would be a great idea for someone to start up in business soly offering this service, i think with the correct coding equptment and knowledge it would keep them in business from this forum alone.
sat nav retro fit
seats
body kits
bumpers
and so on.
model specific knowledge would make fitting easy as it would have been done often, and prices could be keen, mobile would make sence with a large van, and im sure there would be a demand?
i for one would use there services (often )
just an idea, and as long as the model has a following it would be a success, and the older the car gets the more people would be "modding" they could addvertise here and through BMW mags?
what do you think?
im not talking about "mechanics" per seh, but upgrades/retro fits that seem to be prevalent here.

 

Excellent idea and I would be 1st in line to want to offer this service but something to consider...
The BMW factory software is $50k with a $2k/yr subscription fee. That is major $$. In order for someone to perform these retrofits, they would need the ability to code the vehicles.

o was thinking of doing this with my local indy he has all the equipment bmw does and I have stripped ut enough e60sto know my way around them but i wouldnt do it bacuase of:-

A its a hobby so I can pick and choose what i want to dosome jobs I cant be arsed doing but if its your full time job you would have no choice
B id get bored quickly doing it full time lol, its much more fun modding as a hobby!
