I was looking around on ebay and came across a listing claiming to be selling authentic BMW Xenons.

His website is http://www.bimmerxenon.com/home.html

Are these the actual xenons the 5 series come with? If not, does anyone know if they are still the same blue color the real xenons are?

Thanks

No. 5-series Xenon is manufactured by Hella.

Those are not the HID (high intensity discharge) xenon bulbs that come on BMW, Mercedes, Porsche, etc. They are halogen, which are the "non-xenon" bulbs on the E60s, for example.

Ok. I do not have the adaptive xenon package in my 525i. If I get these, will they work fine in my car? and will they be blue like the rael ones?

OMG this Jimmy Wu loser just won't GO AWAY!!! he's like... that zit that keeps coming back.

Do yourself a favor and don't make him any richer by buying his 'xenons'.

He's been talked to death in other bimmer forums... basically, he's a rich dork who makes fun of poorer people who don't have huge trust funds or rich parents. And he tries to steal $$$ from unsuspecting n00bs with his 'xenon' lights sham.

Here's one of the many, many threads on various boards...

Oh wow, thanks for that info. Didn't know what i was getting myself into.

See, its my dad's car and he doesn't really care what kind of lights he has so thats why he didn't get the xenon package. I, on the other hand, believe a 5 series is incomplete without xenons. What are the options that I have to get xenons in my dad's car?

Jimmy used to live 4 houses down from me. He sold his house to my college buddy who lives there now. MMAfia is right in one thing: He's from a rich family. He can be seen driving in our neighborhood in his red Ferrari 360. His house was always crowded with Porsches, beemers, and Mercs.

Now, there's nothing wrong in being rich. I cannot comment on his personalities though, as he seems to be a nice guy to hang out with. I never bought anything from him either, so I don't know his business ethics.

His lights are, as others have already pointed out, not authentic xenons. His bulb website is a little misleading but it's not anything that can't be spotted after a bit of research. As they say, a fool and his money....

As for the section of his site that makes fun of the riced out Bimmers...well, I think he's pretty much spot on with his comments. I don't see anything on his site that denegrates poor people.
