Default JB Speed Parts

Hi all,

Found a guy who has an replica M5 rear bumper lip spoiler from JB speed, painted, and still new in wrapping.

Was curious if anyone had any experience with JB Speed products as I am a bit wary regarding replica items.

Don't want to buy it and then be disappointed, any input greatly appreciated...

Thanks.

purchased a rear bumper lip spoiler from him (painted) back in the day. ended up selling it without even putting it on...it was warped. many people know about the warp and have still installed it using the BMW glue (part number is somewhere on the forum) and tape to hold it down while the glue is curing, but that seemed like a lot of work and sort of a hack to me. ended up selling it for $20.

Well that pretty much makes the decision for me... no go!

West do you have an OEM kit or a replica kit on your car? Also where did you go to get it painted and installed?

Figured we were both in Seattle so maybe you had a good place.

we first installed fake/replica parts on my 550i then took them off and went oem. metro auto rebuild did all of the paint and installation. pm me if you decide to contact them and i'll give you my contacts info.

the only thing i wish we would have done at the time we installed the fenders was block off those hideous side vents. the wider fenders are quite nice for running wider tires though.

That's funny because when my old car was totaled I was going to go to them for help but then it was a total loss...

I also think my Dad may have had work done on his 1970 2800 CS Coupe there when it was hit 10 or so years back.

I've been looking around but have only been able to find the full OEM MTech Kit (Front/Rear Bumper & Side Skirts) for I think $1600 unpainted... was the main problem with the replicas fitment or just bad quality in general?

I also am only going to do Front/Rear bumper, don't really need the skirts from what i've heard it looks fine with the regular ones.
