I picked up a iPod touch to replace my iPod Video in my M6. The iPod video worked flawlessly but I want to move it to my X5. This is definitely an iPod touch issue, my current iPod video works great.
Problem with iPod Touch: When plugged in, I cannot return to the beginning of a track by using the steering wheel buttons and/or the in dash buttons. The display flashes 0:00 next to the track time for a brief second, but the song keeps playing from where it was playing.
Looks like I'll return this and go with another non-touch ipod.

My Ride: 2004 545i SMG
thats weird i having a similar problem with my ipod in my 04 545i . i had a 4g ipod and just got an ipod adapter installed. my ipod has been freezing up and then the connection gets cut off. or sometimes it will play a song for about 30 secs then skip to the next for no reason. now i got a video ipod and will see if this works better. but who knows. your problem maybe software problems. since that ipod touch is brand new. but who knows good luck with your problem. hopefully someone can help both of us.

The recent 2.0 software fixed the issue.

FWIW: I took the original back and bought another in May. Same situation in both my M6 and new 535i.
