Guys,
Sorry to go over this subject again, but I need some advice from forum's ibuddies regarding iPod interface.

So, I got the iPod Classic 160GB for X-mas, and I love the little guy from the first moment we began to work together
Regarding it's endless HDD space for all the possible videos, podcasts, music-videos, etc, it is a perfect toy for me.
Anyways, I was just at my usual dealer this morning (to drop off the car to check the main key under the warranty as it tends work only from a very short distance - when compared to the second key, by the way: anyone had similar issue before?)
So, being there I thought to give it a shot and ask about the iPod interface installation costs. And they quoted me 390 EUR (a bit over 600 USD), including parts, installation and programming the car. The good thing is: they have it in stock and they promise to install it in less than 1,5 hours.
As my car will spend a night at the dealer's anyways, I thought I can still get it done tomorrow morning before they hand me back the car.

So, I need advice from those of you who already use it in your E60s:
1- how useful do you find it compared to AUX-in connection and operating on the ipod attached to the dash board?
2- what about the sound-quality directly from iPod connector compared to analog headphones signal running via AUX-in?
3- anyone yet tried in their car the 6th generation Ipod Classic (80 or 160G? If so - any problems with this disk capacity? Access to all albums, songs, singers, playlists, etc?
4- for 390 EUR (600 USD) it is pretty much twice the price of the Ipod itself (I bought it brand new in New York's online store for 335 USD = a bit over 200EUR), is that price really justified to have it operated via iDrive? That's my main concern.. so I need your experience!

And four more technical questions:
1- Will I get just one iPod connector cable for both sound and charging (meaning: no more attaching the phone jack?), or will it include USB port installation?
2- where do they install this iPod connector? (glovebox preferably...)
3- will they disconnect AUX-in at the same time?
4- any ideas how to run component video signal to iDrive screen (probably via NAV2TV unit?) and how would it be possible to operate it then - since as I understand iPod's own buttons stop reacting once you plug it into the iPod connector in the car?

BIG BIG Thanks for your advice!
