Default iPod interface vs iPod USB/AUX

I have been looking on here for a while and cant figure out how to install this.

I have a 2006 530 with the iPod interface installed. I have a iPhone 5s which has the new lightning port. I am not able to use it with the 30-pin iPhone wire. So i found a temporary solution but would like a permanent one.

1. Is there a way to get a new cable for the iPod interface using a lightning port wire?
OR
2. Can I just remove the iPod interface and install a USB/AUX port in the center console like the 2008+ (LCI) e60's have...

Thanks!

hello of course you can install usb aux.

you need the mulf2 high and some cables usb hub and some coding jobs and clear.\

if you have option sa644 mulf you can replase it with mulf2 high and add 6fl with ncs in lma and cas it will be work i think.

This ^
Apple makes a small white plastic adapter piece - female 30 pin > male lightning.
