So, if you have PROGRAM v25 , if you install IPOD adaptor urself,.. you still need to programmed at the dealer?

Also, I have CD Changer PREP option, does this mean I need to buy the Fiberoptic cable $79? I assume no.

If you have the changer prep option then you don't need to buy the fiber optic cable because its there, I know this for a fact becasue I installed it myself. Here's the break down on how much you should have to spend for the ipod kit: $229 for the interface kit if you can get it for that price; $140 for the idrive coding and this must be done at dealer; if you can install it yourself then you save yourself that much or else the dealer will charge you watever. Here's the catch, if you never had a cd changer be4 you still have to have the them code the new program because each time you add an accessory to be use by the idrive you have to have the car reprogram so that it recognizes the new accessory( in this case the ipod kit).
