Anyone know if it'll work with a 06/04 build date?
Unfortunately, I found the following:

65 11 0 403 651 5 series E60/E61
w/o nav 03/05 on
with nav 09/05 on

What would I need to do to make it work on my car? Software or firmware upgrade? How much does that run, anybody know?

I've read several other threads and yes, I'm still confused myself.

Just thought I'd ask...

Going to my dealers in a bit and guess I'll find out then.

Can somebody post the facts on this thread or a link to the thread that explains this?
I have a 03/04 production E60 and apparently the iPod interface won't work for me, all I can have is the aux input

Hi Wiu-bimmer, I have a august '04 530d and I had the Ipod interface installed 2 days ago and it works perfect! So it shouldn't be a problem with your car.
I got new I-drive software because I got a different Font and there were also more options in the menu you get when you press your I-drive butten in the startup screen (now you can select here information on destination/location etc.). Picked it up on saturday so I couldn't ask what SW they actually installed.

Can you post what part number your iPod interface is?

Not sure what kind of radio I have, either business or professional, that might come into play too.
