I just recently purchased an 04 545i but mp3 is not enabled. I would like to be able to listen to my ipod in my car. What would be the cost efficient way in doing so? From my understanding, mp3 has to be enabled for the Dension kit. Can someone please confirm? THanks!

Exactly: mp3 first, then Dension. GL!

Cost efficient would be using OEM BMW iPod interface as using Dension will probably cost twice as much but also give you more than just iPod hook up.

I agree, I think OEM is your best bet in this case.
