Bmw should make an "ipod your BMW" module for the E60 that integrates with iDrive.. It would be cool if the iDrive Controllor wheel could act like the iPod wheel and it would be cool if you could browse the songs via iDrive... Anyone in this forum have some pull @BMW????????

way, way third on that. it's really ridiculous that they don't do it yet. Audiovox, Pioneer, and Alpine have all given in. it's just a matter of time before it becomes the perfect vehicle for the iPod. as described above, the controls are ready to go for the integration. now, if only they realized what a hassle it's been, how much I've spent, etc. just to have the iPod work on my car. yet, it's all been worthwhile. audiobooks, favorite music, shuffle, etc.

the iPod is a godsend, and with native integration, the BMW with iDrive will be one too.

how do we contribute to the petition? I would trade in my car in a minute for that kind of integration. tired of risking accident when playing with iPod, then have funny white wire running around, then have to put away the iPod every time I parked. c'mon BMW!!

Seeing how BMW and Ipod have already established a relationship (Ipod your BMW) this should be the logical next step, i.e. integrating Ipod into Idrive. The Ipod click wheel and the bmw Idrive wheel were meant for each other.

Having your Ipod interface visible on your Nav/LCD screen complete with album artwork and song info would be sweet!

C'mon BMW lets move into the 21st century. Six CD Changers are so 'old school'...10,000 songs available with a click of the wheel is more like it.
