Hi there,

can anyone help - my 530D has gone into Sytner Solihull to have the iPod / AUX adapter fitted. But my wife is being told they have the part but not the software to enable "AUX" to be selected from iDrive. I'm annoyed about this as there seem to be a few UK based people on this forum which have the AUX adapter installed.

can someone tell me which software version I need installing to get the AUX feature to work? I can then phone back the garage and tell them.

I have not heard about the software version being an issue for the AUX input but that doesn't mean its not so. You may just need to try another dealer. How about some more details about you car? Do you know your current version?

I had version 13.3 before having the Aux installed. The dealer said they need it for a day to load new software (probably 14) to get the Aux to show up on the I-drive. A new software was done as I lost all my settings again.

It is worth getting as it allows uninterrupted music , almost makes up for not having MP3 playback

I have 13.3 with a AUX adapter.

I was told that version 14 is complicated with AUX input, but they can get it to work!

I just picked my car up today and it works!! It is so great! I plugegd in my portable DVD player and played the Blue Man Group DVD The Complex Live... WOW! What a fantastic sound! And since the DVD player can play MP3's I am now able to play MP3's too on my L7... :teehee: :teehee:
