Hi.

To install the ipod kit at the dealer is about 700 dollars and to me that is just ABSURD.

Are there any adapter that are not OEM and would work with my 2006 525i?

I don't care about the playlist showing up on my screen, I can control it fine from the Ipod itself.

I dont like those FM Transmitters because the sound is horrible.
My car does not seem to have and AUX output, at least not that ive noticed.

Maybe an AUX adapter is available?

Please let me know any info.

Thanks!

count me in! my favorite is when they make things up to have a customer pay lol

I've called some dealers on behalf of my customers before and confronted them about some of the statement they made. You would be amazed how quickly they start to cooperate when they realize they are talking to someone that knows the in and outs of an issue

So i called the BMW dealer here in the Dominican republic and they told me they do not do the mp3 retrofit for me to be able to install the ipod adapter myself

but they offer to install the kit for 700 bucks, so i don't really understand what the hell is up

they also don't install the aux in my car, what else can i do?
