Can anyone one tell me if there are any differences of having Ipod integration & having an AUX install. this might be a silly qu.

I beleive this to be the same thing. (are the controls etc diff?)

I pick up my car tommorow am, and since IPod aux is standard from March the dealer is fitting this FOC as my car was built in Feb, but charged me March price. just wonderin if i've been disadvantaged.

Cant wait!!!

If you use the AUX input, you can only control the volume with the car buttons and the iDrive screen will not show any information about what song is playing. To change a song that's playing, you need to use the iPod controls.

If the car has iPod integration (so far, the E60 does not), in addition to the volume controls above, you'd be able to see what's playing on the iDrive screen and select other songs using the iDrive controller.

Picked up my beauty today and the aux input is not anymore in the glove compartment
it is now in the center console at the back in between the elec sockets.
