My Ride: '04 530i Mystic Blue, European Delivery, Steptronic, Prem Pkg, Cold Weather Pkg, Nav, Heads Up, Active Cruise, Rear Sunshade, Rear Side Airbags, Rear Seat Heating, Park Distance Control, Xenon, CPT9000 GSM phone, red rear reflectors, Sirius!!!!
I read the other threads on the topic, but am still unclear on whether it will or will not function in an E60 already equipped with Sirius - there seems to be conflicting information. Does anyone have insight into this question.
Thanks

While talking to my (UK) dealer last week, I asked about the iPod/idrive interface for the E60. He said that he didn't know when it was going to be released, but he spoke to a mechanic about this and they said there was already an iPod/idrive interface for the E90, and given the two idrive units are almost identical he thought it might even be possible to use the E90 interface on the E60.
Although he's gone away to investigate this, I doubt very much that they will be compatiable. But that said, has anyone else heard a anything similar from their dealers?

My dealer tried to tell me that everybody still listens to CDs, as if I was weird for wanting an iPod connection. But the BMW designers themselves surely own iPods so it's amazing the interface isn't further along.
