Thanks for the link to the ebay auction - I saw there are a few sellers ... esp in China where I suspect most of these come from anyway. I'd be really nervous about plugging into the PBDII port with some gizmo that would cause a problem with any circuitry in the car's emission control systems or elsewhere.

And I suspect that pairing the BT OBDII gizmo means you can't run your phone paired to the car at the same time. That might limit the real-time monitoring of your car's systems a once in a while thing. That said, the data available in the DROID app looks like it could be handy from time to time.

Keep us posted on how your experimentation goes.

They work together.. Phone rings you still have hand free set up. But u can't see the app running...but I haven't tried to go back to the app. I bet would run...

What's the latest on this device and apps? It was my understanding that the dealer diagnostic system connects to our cars wirelessly, so doesn't that mean the OBD already transmits a signal and the PLX Kiwi wifi is not required?
