Hey guys I am in need of some help. I got all the wood grain off besides the door pieces. After attempting to take off the driver side door piece, I cracked the $135 piece of $h!&. I need some assistance on taking those off. Now after going to BMW and finding out that fake wood grain cost a lot of money, I noticed they are bolted down to the door trim. Does anyone know how to take off the door skins to take them off? -Travis.
P.S. The other pieces were very easy to take off, if you are interested in modifying. I will post pics probably on Wednesday.

Travis,
In addition to the attached .pdf:
You won't need a special tool - just use a screwdriver!
The small nuts that hold the wood trim on are locked with some resin (If you were in the UK, I'd say they were "Loctite'd, but you might not have it where you are). The resin often does a good job so that the stud turns with the nut, and as it turns, the plastic base on the fake wood breaks. It's no big deal, as a bit of Superglue or Epoxy adhesive will stick them back easy enough. Be prepared to hold the stud with a pair of pliers so you can get the nuts off.
On installation, the big black clip in the centre of the door frame needs to come off the door and onto the door trim, otherwise you will be all day trying to locate it. Squeeze the spring tabs together with a pair of pipe pliers, and the plastic will slide off - it only goes one way on the door panel!
