Evening Guys, I've got an '07 e60 520d SE, in black sapphire, with cream leather. Its got the boring as hell dull grey/silver interior trim inside.
I've just got hold of a mint set of M5 Madeira Walnut interior trim for £60 on ebay, which i purchased with the intention of getting painted in Black Sapphire to match the car, and swapping them with the grey ones in the car. I picked up the Madeira trim today, and gotta say it looks pretty nice quality, not tacky like other lighter woods.

I can't make up my mind, should i install the wood, or have it done in black then put black trim in the car? Let me know if any of you guys have done similar projects and how they look please.

what do you mean by painting it black? if you were going to paint it, why didn't you just paint the ones in your car instead of getting a new set?

your car is a right wheel drive I assume.. I actually like that "boring as hell" silver trim of yours
as for this one - i would put it in first, drive it, and if you get bored paint in black

this is a no brainer. install the m5 wood grain. paint your current silver trim black. Install the black after you've had the m5 wood grain in. Figure out if you like the wood or the black because clearly you dont like the silver.

Does anyone know if they made a panel in madeira for below the CD/DVD drives for the pre-LCI e60?
