These will give your suspension a longer life which is about 70% more life.
it also give a little bit harder on the springs

In the UK, these are sold as spring assistors, typically for towing caravans...

they are about the same, it just give less for the socks to work.
On my last car I had 68000km on the shocks and they were still going strong.
some guys with out them needed to change the shocks at 45000km

well not that much.
but you will feel the car much harder when going over big humps
