I knew by the time I got back to SJ the sun would be going down, so I had to get a few shots when there was still some decent sunlight.. so I pulled into the parking lot with the Starbucks on Rengstorff before jumping on Central Expressway

Hey Sam - Central is a less-punishing commute than 101. Next time you're sitting in traffic on 101, take a look at the size of the cracks on the freeway - it's brutal! Also, stay away from the #2 lane on 101 Northbound before the De La Cruz exit, there appears to be a series (of the ends) of rebar (sp?) sticking out of the freeway - it looks to be about a 1/4 inch of the rebar sticking up from the road.

As for the freeway, good thing Im only on 101 for about 2 miles before I jump onto 237 to head home.
