Just been out in California (nr. LA) for a week on business and have to say, the cars just look great under the Californian sun. Saw a fair few E60s, some with mods, and they just looked fantastic. Almost crashed a number of times checking them out!

Did not see one single M-Sport though. I got the impression from this forum that they were popular stateside??

It's a shame you guys in the States can't get the Carbon Black option, that would just look awesome under this light. Or is it on the Individual list?

Ah well, fingers crossed for some good sun in Germany when my new baby arrives at the end of the month...

cheers

p.s. if anybody knows of a Californian sun supplier in Germany, just let me know

The traffice generated about the enthusiasm for the M-sport package aka M Technik Aero Kit in e60.net forum, is a small fraction of the overall percentage of BMW owners in Southern Cali. Most are unaware that such a kit exist or are unwilling to mod their stock luxury sedan.

Great looking ride. And also a prime example of LA sun-light and the sun-light over here in Germany. I would have loved to have a white M-Sport with window tints, but the white paint looks soooo dull over here most of the year round It's one of aspects of this Forum that we have to watch out for, because when looking at pictures of US members cars, it's not really giving you a totally true picture of what the car will look like over here. But don't get me wrong, love the pictures!!

As always, enjoyed CA - and not just because of the (super) cars cruising around

That makes sense, as well as what EBMCS03 said. The plus side is that your ride becomes more exclusive with the kit

I couldn't believe the number of cars (incl. E60s) that had chromed wheels, especailly because it's something I haven't seen too much of here in the Forum. Is chromed wheels the current big trend in the States?

Individual list?

We don't get Individual in the US. Not officially anyway. And while you can still order your car (for a price of about $2000) with a wider range of colors than what BMWNA officially offers most people and dealers aren't aware of it.

There are some great looking cars out here in southern california. The mods are numerous, i just a matter of people being aware of all different types of products available to the E60

Let's make a deal xBMWx. I'll find the Cali sun supplier if you can get the German Autobahn supplier here in Cali!!! Glad you liked NorCal.

iceman316: your ride is looking damn nice.

Can I be on your VIP list once you get the German Autobahn installed?
