All,

I'm new to this forum and 545's, but have a question pertaining to replacing the OEM air filter and replacing it with a K&N 33-2294. It sounds like a great mod for the cost . As I have the upgraded maintenance plan (6yr/100K), does the K&N have an impact to it?

Thanks for the feedback!

+1.

if you feel like you need to, you can keep the stock filter just in case as well.

if you are concerned about the filter you can always put the stock back when you take it to the dealer.

I am selling my k&n if you might be interested.

Why are you selling (if you don't mind me asking)?

i don't use k&N because of the oily film that gets on the maf element and throws off the reading.
Bosch MAF are really sensitive to the k&n filters. usually itll be ok for the first few months but
take the maf off by the 3rd month and look at the maf element its contaminated with oily dirt.
this is my inexpensive setup i use a cutting wheel to cut around the box and install a E39 kit.

Before I did my intake, I had my K&N in there and the dealer was fine with it. They even knew I removed the charcoal filters and didn't care. As long as a problem is not related to an issue with the replaced aftermarket part, you are fine.
