So on my 04 530i i have a plain black steering wheel +heated+ i noticed on newer 5's there is silver trim around the inside of the wheel, my interior is silver and i would like to get that on my wheels. Pic is of the silver i'm talking about then a pic of my own wheel!

Any suggestions?

i found this http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/BMW-E60-E61...Q2em118Q2el1247 and
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/BMW-E60-5-E...Q2em118Q2el1247 But i'm not sure if those are correct because it says in the ad "assuming you have this style" so does this mean not all 530 or e60 have same style...

pics, first my steering wheel, 2nd the look i want

The trim on Ebay looks like it will fit your year. I know the plates are removable, because mine were peeling and the dealer replaced them under warranty. If you can find directions on how to remove them, or if someone can post them, the ebay item looks like it would fit. It would also match your trim. By the way, I like the color of your seats.

Here is a post from the DIY section on it (I've been thinking about doing this also). I didn't reread the full string, but I believe there was a PN listed toward the end. The first ebay link looks like the right one though.

It's an easy DIY. The link above is appropriate - most important point : DISCONNECT BATTERY !

It's been a while since I saw these type of trim on ebay - pick up a pair at your dealer.

You can spend $100 from the ALWAYS Overpriced RoverActive on eBay or get the exact same thing from your local BMW dealer for about 1/2 the cost.
The part number you want is 32306766012 (number 4 in the pic below)
If your local BMW dealer does not give you a decent discount call Gary at Newport BMW and mention you are a member here at E60.net for a 25% discount.
